Policy Papers:
Policy papers are ideally about 7,000-8,000 words. Papers should preferably not be shorter than 5,000 or exceed 10,000 words. Policy papers can be about any topic and should present a unique, well-reasoned, and academically sound argument.
Commentaries:
Commentaries are shorter papers around 1,000-2,000 words also pertaining to any policy issue. While shorter, these pieces are held to the same editorial standards as policy papers.
Faculty Briefs:
Faculty briefs are short, informal papers where professors can discuss anything from lessons learned in their careers to ways to think about or approach policy. They are very open ended and should be approximately 1,000-2,000 words.
